WOW neglect to say the least

my last post was october 2006. almost one year ago. i have been busy and it seems that writing is the last thing on the long list of things to do. i have been battling demonds, working the 9-5, a bit of travel and preparing a web site. i just placed another large order of tools and equipment in preparation for ATELIER move in. august 1st ready date has turned in to september 1st. the nature of construction. i have all appendages crossed that i will be building work tables and unpacking boxes in two weeks.

Today I am full of anxious energy. Last week I invested a few natural materials to burn out in the kiln. Tonight I get to cast! Fingers crossed that they come out nicely.

tick tock goes the clock

mold #1 is setting up. it has been a while since i last made a mold of something, poured rubber or resin...etc. i am feeling a bit nostalgic, but happy to being doing this for myself and not for, the business, "us" or someone else. now i'm off to make some rivets, gromets and do some sanding.

the first box of exciting goodies arrived yesterday. i am so torn at the moment. i want to aquaint myself and get going on a few ideas, but i desperately need to build a bench to house and properly use this stuff. i think what i will do is pour a mold and then hit the hardware store. multitasking ...DO IT!

Slowly but surely the tools I bought last week are trickling in. Today my new flex shaft and a few accessories arrived.
